Hey Jeff thanks a TON for the Apple TV reviews and tips! I am just about to drop some hard earned cash on this and it was great to see both pieces you've done to make me even more certain about it.

Do you think the Apple TV combined with the Elgato Eye TV would basically give me a Windows Media Center?

Hi Jeff

Just a quick one in case you missed this on Leo's Security Now 87, but as I know you have a Sony eReader I thought I would check that you knew about http://manybooks.net They have over 16,000 free to download eBooks with a load of different formats to choose to download including over 300 audio books. I've been download some for a mates mum who has just had a hip replacement operation and run out of audiobooks from the local library to listen to. He's got hold of a really old laptop for her to read the eBooks on, she plugs it into the mains so doesn't have to worry about battery life but he is thinking of getting her an eReader for when she can get about more so was just wondering how you where getting on with yours? are they any problems with reading it out side in the sunny?

Cheers for any feedback

Take Care and all the best

JOHN: I'm not all that familiar with the Elgato Eye TV, but I think between the two devices (and with some transcoding for iTunes), you could certainly "reach" a lot of different media. Still enjoying my AppleTV, especially with more and more video podcasts going to AppleTV format (looks great!).

STEVE: Yeah, I checked out manybooks.net - there are a few other sites like this (although they all tend to have the same books b/c they are out of copyright). In terms of reading outside when it's sunny - it's April in Canada, so I'm still not getting a lot of outside relaxing done :-) . Great story about your mates' mum, but I would caution you to consider how small the Sony Reader's screen is if she has any sight problems (sure, it does 3 different sizes, but once you're at a large size, you end up flipping the page every 10 seconds).

By any chance do you remember where you found your "I see Zed people" shirt?

Got it directly from the man himself, Bruce Murray of the Zedcast podcast (http://www.zedcast.com/), at the last Halifax Podcasters Meetup!
